The Reservoir Siemianowka, also called Lake Siemianowskie, is located very close to the Polish-Belarusian border. It was created at the turn of 70s and 80s. Unfortunately, this visionary project became a memorial of unhealthy, communist ambitions.
Today, the reservoir still requires effort and funds to keep it "somehow" functional. Unfortunately, no one is capable of taking the responsibility for the real issues of this "lake". I have been photographing around the Siemianowka for the past few years. I wanted to investigate this seemingly wild and in fact completely artificial landscape.
The book consists of photographs and texts - statements about Siemianowka, which I found on public online forums. They come from either the comments below articles on topics related to the reservoir or the tourist information websites. I let them resound, accompanied by photographs, which document my own, subjective journey.
